Many bloggers open guest posting and multi author posts and then you face problem while assigning posts to those authors, sometimes you need to create their individual accounts even if you don’t like so that there readers can view all posts associated to certain author registered on your blog. There are many plugins available but if you are looking for the easiest method then here’s a plugin for you.
Install and activate Byline plugin in your WordPress site. This plugin is not for creating and assigning individual author box and neither it assigns shortcode for individual post authors displaying author information and all posts link. All this plugin does is that it creates a custom taxonomy on post’s add new and edit pages where you can easily tag author names, this works same as the default WordPress author functionality that shows author names on blog posts which when clicked opens an archive page showing all posts made by that author. At the same time it gives you power to assign as many author you like to a blog post.
Installation & Usage: After activation you will find a taxonomy metabox (just like tags meta box) in posts add new & edit page. You have to type the name of post authors and publish/update your blog post. One more thing, it allows you to assign post authors using quick edit feature in dashboard’s all posts page. Your authors would get listed on the authors byline present in theme you are using.
This is easy and handy, using this plugin you don’t need to register your guest authors or create HTML author box templates after post. You save more time and concentrate more on your website content.
