You can search for YouTube videos by keyword and instantly insert them inside your content right from WordPress post edit screen.
This is the third lesson of Content Egg plugin series and in this lesson you will learn about enriching your post content by adding YouTube videos into it.
Our last lesson was about adding finding Google Images by license and inserting them before, after or manually in-between your blog posts right from admin post edit page.
You can do same for YouTube videos. First step is to install and setup Content Egg plugin on your WordPress site – read this tutorial.
Now visit your admin area dashboard and visit ‘Content Egg’ admin page from left side menu.
Click ‘YouTube’ tab, enable this module by ticking ‘Switch Module’ checkbox option.
Other options allows you to select the place for additional content like you can show it on the top of the content, bottom of the content or use shortocdes in any place regardless of the setting. You can select a default license type, set default size, color etc.
To start adding videos from YouTube: Visit your admin area dashboard Posts -> Add New or open any old post/post type to edit.
Scroll down to ‘Content Egg’ metabox to insert additional content on your blog posts and follow these steps:
- Enter a keyword and click “Search”
- Plugin searches and displays the results to you.
- Now you can choose what to add to the post and edit the results.
- It’s very simple and fast: multiple search and add data directly to the post editing page without reloading the page.
Now PUBLISH or UPDATE your post, visit the frontend of your website and see how it looks like.
