By default WordPress allows you to use only one image as post thumbnail i.e. featured post image. In this lesson you will learn how to use multiple images as featured on your WordPress site.
Dynamic Featured Image is the new WordPress plugin that allows you to dynamically adds multiple featured image (post thumbnail) functionality to posts, pages and other custom post types.
This plugin provides you user interface where you can add various images to use them as featured without writing a single line of code. The featured images are then collected by the various theme functions.
Great when you are using other addon plugins that takes up post’s featured images and show them up on sidebar widgets and sliders etc. In such cases your posts would not be limited to only one featured image.
Start by installing ‘Dynamic Featured Image’ plugin in WordPress
Upon activation go to add or edit page of posts or pages and you will notice a box for second featured image.
Click Set featured image, select required image from “Dynamic Featured Image – Media Selector” popup and click Set Featured Image.
Click on Add New to add new featured image or use Remove link to remove the featured image box.
