New BuddyPress Captcha plugin is a forked version of old BuddyPress reCAPTCHA addon which was abandoned and also requires editing the core plugin files to make it work on your BuddyPress website.

Start by installing ‘BuddyPress Captacha’ plugin in WordPress
Step-1 Install and activate BuddyPress Captcha plugin then visit your admin area dashboard Settings -> BuddyPress Captcha page and click there get reCAPTCHA credentials.
Step-2 Click ‘Get reCAPTCHA‘ button followed by ‘Signup Now‘ button.
Step-3 Add your website and click ‘Create‘ button. This will be generating your reCAPTCHA API Keys.
Step-4 Move back to your website’s admin area dashboard Settings -> BuddyPress Captcha page.
Step-5 Copy-paste reCAPTCHA public & private keys. Save changes and that’s it. The plugin also provides you four different themes to select from.
