Google Adwords Keyword Tool is now replaced by new Keyword Planner which has most of data available from old keyword tool and has many advantages over it. Keyword Planner lets you build a new Search Network campaign more efficiently. Insights are improved for keywords, ad groups, bids, and budgets etc. Also provides you better historical statistics and traffic estimates.
- Visit http://adwords.google.com/keywordplanner
- Expand search section by clicking Search for new keyword and ad group ideas.
- Use following in the given boxes:
- Words or phrases to describe you’re ad.
- Page URL of a webpage or website home page etc
- Enter the category relevant to your product or service.
- Now hit Get ideas button.
- Now review your keywords from the Ad group ideas tab or Keyword ideas tab.
- You can add ad group or keyword idea to your plan. Also you can use historical statistics that shows up in the table.
- After you complete making your plan, click Get estimates and review plan.
This will show you a graph with a range of maximum cost-per-click (max CPC) bids and daily traffic estimates. For more information about Google Keyword Planner visit its official support page.
