By default only in-post images are send to RSS feed. In this lesson you will learn how to send featured post images i.e. post thumbnails in RSS feed of your WordPress based website or blog.
RSS Featured Images is the new WordPress plugin that allows you to do so very easily over WordPress. The plugin not only allows you to add featured images from your posts to your website’s RSS feed but also provides you options to set the size of featured images, specify the images alignment, and to optionally create your own custom format for post thumbnails.
Start by installing ‘RSS Featured Images’ plugin in WordPress
Once the plugin, is activated, visit your admin area dashboard Settings -> RSS Featured Images’ page and select featured image size, alignment.
You can also create your own image format by adding prefix & postfix HTML code to wrap around featured image. When you’re done with settings, save your changes and that’s it.
