By default WordPress send you pingback notifications to admin email which you have assigned in your WordPress site. This sometimes becomes irritating specially when your weblog start getting popular and you get hundreds of pingback notifications. This tutorial explains how you can set a custom email address for receiving pingback notifications and avoid populating you main email address.
Custom Pingback Email is the new WordPress plugin that allows you to do so in a very easy way. Simply install and activate it, after activation the plugin adds a new field ‘Pingback E-mail’ in General Settings Page (Dashboard -> Settings -> General). Now type the email address where you want to receive future pingback notifications and save your settings. That’s all.
