You can remove the date from posts and pages of your WordPress Website and you can do this both globally i.e. side wide or on a per-post basis.
“If you don’t have a WordPress site, you can make one easily by registering your domain name and subscribing to a Managed WordPress plan.“
There are various themes that offer you the option to disable the date. But in this lesson, you will see how you can do that even if your theme doesn’t provide you the option and even if you don’t know how to hide date stamps via CSS or PHP.
How To Remove Date From All WordPress Posts?
You simply need to follow these steps:
- Visit Plugins -> Add New page on your admin area dashboard
- Search and install the plugin WP Meta and Date Remover plugin
- Activate the plugin, that’s all
Upon activation, the plugin automatically removes dates from all posts and pages of your website.
How To Remove Date From Selective WordPress Posts?
In case you don’t want to remove the date from every post instead you want to do that manually for selective posts then that can also be done.
- Visit Settings -> WP Meta and Date Page,
- Tick the first option i.e. individual post option
- Save your changes
This will make the plugin work on a per-post-basis and you would be able to disable the author meta and post date from the post edit screen under publishing options.
