Visiting Google Image Search, searching for images by keyword filtering them by license, saving locally, then uploading and inserting them inside your post content is a time consuming job.
In this lesson you will learn about doing same thing very quickly and easily right from your post edit screen.
Our last lesson was about Content Egg plugin that enables you to create additional content and show it before, after or manually in-between your blog posts.
Using same plugin you can find images by keyword, filter them by license and then insert them in plain or gallery format.
First step is to install and setup Content Egg plugin on your WordPress site – read this tutorial.
Now visit your admin area dashboard and visit ‘Content Egg’ admin page from left side menu.
Click ‘Google Images’ tab, enable this module by ticking ‘Switch Module’ checkbox option.
Other options allows you to select the place for additional content like you can show it on the top of the content, bottom of the content or use shortocdes in any place regardless of the setting. You can select a default license type, set default size, color etc.
To start adding images from Google Image search: Visit your admin area dashboard Posts -> Add New or open any old post/post type to edit.
Scroll down to ‘Content Egg’ metabox to insert additional content on your blog posts and follow these steps:
- Enter a keyword and click “Search”
- Plugin searches and displays the results to you.
- Now you can choose what to add to the post and edit the results.
- It’s very simple and fast: multiple search and add data directly to the post editing page without reloading the page.
Now PUBLISH or UPDATE your post, visit the frontend of your website and see how it looks like.
