I welcome you Emmaleigh, please tell our netizens about yourself?
Growing up, I had always admired women on the covers of magazines and books. Modeling was something that I’d love to do. I wanted to be the person that others saw and admired. I started building a portfolio at the age of 16. In about a year, I have built a fan base of over 500 people, and I hope that it will continue to grow! A lot of time and work goes into modeling and promoting myself. The support of everyone really gives me motivation, and confidence in myself. It is such a great feeling. I can’t imagine ever quitting.
What do you think of creating your own fashion blog on your domain, Don’t you think you can expand this fan base of 500 people to millions in less time and people reading your this interview here will drive more traffic towards your domain, making you more popular on world wide web ?
I think that’d be a great idea. It’s something I’ve actually thought of doing before. One of my bigger ideas once I have a larger fan base would be to have sponsors as well. By this I mean that hopefully designers will send me some of their products to model in my photo shoots to help promote them. I’d be more than happy to do that for someone. It’s a win-win for both sides! Overall, I’m hoping to eventually be able to make a lot more fashion-related posts on my page.
What inspired your passion for modeling? What motivates you doing this ? What does your career do for you?
My motivation is my fans. Every compliment and encouragement makes me want to model even more. My passion for modeling was inspired by my friends, family, and people around me telling me for years that I should be a model. One day I just took it to heart and decided I’d actually try! Every great image that comes out of a photo shoot is all I could ever want from modeling. Being able to see myself in a different light, such as in a beautiful image, is absolutely amazing to me. It helps me to really have a lot of confidence in myself, and it definitely helps me to respect myself more.
What’s your beauty regime?
My beauty regime is pretty simple. I wash my face morning and night with warm water and a sensitive skin cleansing bar. I only use non-comedogenic makeup products. I usually use mascara, a little eyeliner, blush, a light sensitive skin concealer with SPF, and Chapstick. I also use 10% Benzoyle peroxide cream to keep my skin clear! Other than that, everything is just basic hygiene. SPF is always a must though.
What is your dream modeling job and your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?
My dream modeling job is to be on the cover of a book, magazine, or a calendar. My goal is just to get the most beautiful images that I can out of my shoots. I see myself progressing by working with increasingly fantastic photographers to build my portfolio, and hopefully I’ll get noticed and signed by an agency!
Any advice for people who want to start modeling? What do you think to be the biggest challenge as a model?
The biggest challenge of being a model is staying true to yourself. You can’t constantly change to suit the media and their unrealistic beauty ideals without hurting yourself in the process. If anyone wants to start modeling, I’d give them the advice to never change or go against your morals for anybody else. Don’t lose or gain weight, or do anything that makes you uncomfortable during a shoot because you feel pressured. My rule of thumb is that if I wouldn’t want my parents to see a picture of me, I don’t want it taken.
Which country are you from? Please tell us something about your city, your favorite hang out spots and what lifestyle people follow there ?
I live in the United States, in New Jersey. I live in a small town, with it’s drama and gossip like anywhere else. Six Flags Great Adventure is pretty close, as well as the Jersey Shore which is always fun to visit! The lifestyle people follow here varies. Some people hang around and relax, while others work hard and still make time to enjoy their lives. I like to think that I’m somewhere in the middle.
Do you eat nutritiously? Tell us about the diet you follow on a regular basis? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I eat very nutritiously. My diet consists mostly of lean meats, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. I have my cheat days, but I try my best to make healthy choices. I’m constantly drinking tea, it’s my favorite thing! I exercise most days, and I usually take a rest day every 4 or 5 days just to let my body repair itself. I also make sure I’m taking in enough protein so that I’m building muscle. I like feeling fit and healthy. I work out to gain muscle, not to lose weight.
What are some of your favorite things which you enjoy when you’re not busy modeling ?
When I’m not busy modeling I like to practice piano. I’ve played classical piano since I was about 5 years old, and I love it! I also like to do gymnastics! I spend a lot of time watching shows on Netflix like Doctor Who, Sherlock, and the Walking Dead! I garden, and I like to bake too. A lot of the time though, I’m just relaxing with my family and pets! I live with my parents, 2 dogs, 2 birds, and a ferret. My pets are all so sweet and lovable! I love animals!
Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamorous ?
The easiest way to look pretty and glamorous is to smile. Everybody enjoys looking at someone with an inviting smile on their face, it’s as simple as that!
I am open for interviewing all those individuals who opt internet as their place of doing business, What is your opinion for continuing this ?
I think continuing this is fantastic! Giving people a chance to promote themselves or share their story is a great idea! It’s a very good program and I support it completely.
