In this lesson you will learn how to configure a private messenger that enables your website users to email each other as long as they know their usernames.
You can easily insert this messenger in a page, post or post type via shortcode provided by Orbisius Messenger plugin. It looks like a contact form, your users can simply type in the username, message text and click ‘Send’ button.
The plugin delivers the message directly to the email box of the user.
Start by installing ‘Orbisius Messenger’ plugin in WordPress
Upon activation, all you got to do create a page and insert shortcode [orbisius_messenger_contact_form].
As soon the shortcode is inserted and the page is updated, it starts showing a messenger.
To send a new message
Start typing in 2 characters of any username and it auto suggests usernames one can select and email to.
All sent emails are kept private, delivered directly to inbox and cannot be seen by other registered users, even site administrators.
