Displaying page siblings means showing the hierarchy of pages, their sub pages inside content. There are many ways of displaying page siblings like generally users use bullets and numbering option and manually create the list of sibling pages.
In this tutorial we will be showing you an easy way to automate sibling page list and make it work globally on your website so that whenever you change the sub pages or add any new sub pages, you don’t need editing the whole list everytime which you have shared inside your page content.
We will be using popular WordPress shortcodes plugin called Shortcodes Ultimate. So first make sure that the plugin is active on your website.
Now visit Pages -> All Pages screen, navigate to the page where you like showing its siblings and open it for editing.
Click ‘Insert Shortcode‘ button present on the top of your visual editor and select ‘Siblings‘.
Now set a depth (like you can set depth level 2 for showing main page siblings and siblings of siblings). If you want you can also add extra CSS class (optional).
Finally, insert the shortcode and UPDATE your page.
