Noise (Music) is the default music player for Elementary OS Linux. One common problem experienced by its users is that it doesn’t provides any visual option to clear-up unwanted music files from library in order to fresh start.
All Linux operating systems provides you a command line interface where you can solve this common issue simply by typing commands and pressing ENTER key from your keyboard.
First make sure you your Noise Music Application is closed. Now open the terminal and run following commands:
Clear cached album art with: rm -rf ~/.cache/noise/
Purge database with: rm -rf ~/.local/
Using these commands one by one you can instantly empty your Noise music library, then re-scan your music folder and not get every file duplicated in listings.
