Start by installing and activating Test User Role plugin in WordPress
Upon activation the plugin adds a Test User Role menu (for Super Admins) under the Howdy menu on WordPress admin toolbar.
For switching a user role, simply navigate to your admin bar Howdy -> Test User Role and click the user role you like testing.
