You can now create and organize WordPress posts into multiple parts. Multiple parts means you can automatically add a table of content at the top of the post which links to other selected posts of your website. This table of contents looks similar to Wikipedia’s table of contents but here it links to individual posts and it automatically shows up on all posts which are linked to it.
For Example:
Suppose you are writing a post How To Install WordPress? and earlier you have written other similar posts like How To Write A Post?, How To Create A Page? & How To Choose A Theme ?
Then you can enable multi part from edit screen of How To Install WordPress? post and use its metabox for adding other posts posts to it like How To Write A Post?, How To Create A Page? & How To Choose A Theme?
Publish the post and the Table of Contents which you have added in How To Install WordPress post will automatically show up on other three posts (on How To Write A Post?, How To Create A Page? & How To Choose A Theme?).
Hence your readers can easily browse other posts of same series.
How To Start Using This In Your Website?
Install and activate Multi Part Posts plugin in your WordPress site. After activation the plugin adds its metabox (below content box) on all ADD NEW/EDIT post screens. For adding your posts into a series, simply tick ‘Enable Multi Part‘ option and add use ‘Group With‘ option for adding other posts which you want to keep in the Table of Contents.
When you’re done adding posts, use drag-n-drop for reordering them in a proper way and then publish your post.
The table of contents automatically comes visible to all posts you have added inside it. You can create a new table of content for other posts of your website.
This not only organizes the content of your website but it increases time on site and engages your website visitors.
