Header images is common feature of most WordPress theme. WordPress theme for example Twenty Eleven etc allows you to upload and use your own images in the header of your website but there are no easy options for deleting those uploaded header images. Even if you delete an header image from media library then also it shows a broken image link and in header images admin area page because its table is still there in your website’s database.
This tutorial explains you how you can add a delete header image option for all custom uploaded header images into your WordPress site.
Install and activate the new WordPress plugin Delete Custom Header. After activation the plugin adds Delete Header Image button is Appearance -> Header Images‘s Uploaded Images section. You can simply select the image and click this button to delete it entirely from your website.
