Easily Upload And Insert SVG Files In WordPress Posts

SVG, stands for Scalable Vector Graphics is an XML-based vector image format for two-dimensional graphics which supports interactivity and animation.

These images and their behaviors are defined in XML text files. Default WordPress functionality allows you to upload SVG files but you cannot insert and display them like other images.

In this lesson you will learn how to upload and insert SVG files in your post content.

SVG Complete is the new WordPress plugin that automatically adds SVG functionality in your WordPress installation so that you can easily upload and insert such files inside your content via SVG button in your visual editor.

Start by installing ‘SVG Complete’ plugin in WordPress

Upon activation, visit your admin area dashboard Posts -> Add New page or open any old post for editing.

You will be noticing a new SVG TinyMCE button added in your visual editor. Using this new button you can upload SVG image, select an alternative image, set custom image size, use alternative text, URL, add caption, width, height, ratio, CSS class, alignment etc and then click OK button to insert it inside your post content.

Here you can even select to have zoom and pan (mouse drag) on your SVG media which is very useful for maps etc.
