Tabs Shortcode and Widget is a completely new way of inserting tabs in WordPress. The plugin provides you both shortcode generator and sidebar widget for creating beautiful tabs using its nice and easy interface. With this new plugin you can insert tabbed content anywhere on your website like inside your pages, posts & custom post types, widget area and template files.
To start, Install and activate Tabs Shortcode and Widget plugin. Upon activation the plugin does two things:
- It adds a TinyMCE shotcode generator button in your WordPress visual editor present in ADD NEW/EDIT content screens
- It activates a widget you can add to your sidebar and other widget areas from widget’s admin screen.
How To Insert Tabbed Content Inside Your Posts & Post Types?
After activating Tabs Shortcode and Widget plugin, visit your admin area Dashboard -> Posts -> Add New page and you will be noticing a new ‘Insert Shortcode‘ button as shown in the given screenshot.
Click the button and it will open up thickbox for generating tabs. Choose the number of tabs you like to insert, add tab titles and content. You can also choose tab style from horizontal or vertical, other options allows you to use icon for each tab, you can simply pick from given set of icons or upload or insert new icon via URL. Finally, click ‘Insert’ button to generate and insert the shortcode.
How To Insert Tabbed Content In Sidebars & Other Widget Areas?
The plugin also provides you a widget which you can use from Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widget page. Simply drag-drop its widget to a widget area and click ‘Add‘ button for creating tabbed content.
