Lorem Ipsum is the dummy text used by the printing and typesetting industry. It is used by web designers on client websites to make them look content-full and offer better demo presentation.
There are many websites that allows you to generate dummy text and use it on your website but recently there was a WordPress plugin – WP Lorem (WL) created to ease the work of the developers and the content checkers to insert the dummy text on posts and pages in just one easy click right from the visual editor. The plugin simply enables you to add dummy content with pictures to all the post types on your website.
Inserting Dummy Text
Start by installing and activating the plugin on your WordPress website. Once activated the plugin adds its TinyMCE button on visual editor present on post edit screens.
To insert dummy text – all you have to do is create a new post, click the Lorem button, type your language code i.e. en for English and click OK button. That’s it, it takes a second and dummy text is automatically inserted as post content.
Bulk Inserting Dummy Text With Thumbnails
You can perform the action in bulk. Visit your admin area dashboard and navigate to WP – Lorem -> Insert New page. Select Lorem settings for the next execute such as you can tick to insert content, thumbnails, number of posts to insert and choose from the listed post types.
Finally, click ‘Submit’ button and let the plugin work. From the same menu you can delete all dummy text posts in bulk from WP – Lorem -> Delete Posts page.
